How does my child move up a level?

How does my child move up a level?

We are always keen to support our athletes in feeling encouraged and challenged in their classes.

For our recreational gymnastics students, the most direct and comprehensive opportunity for assessment is at the Skills Challenge/Recreational Competition day, one of which will be run towards the end of each term. This is a fun and encouraging opportunity for athletes to perform their gymnastics for their families and for parents to receive a formal assessment of their child’s skills and progress, along with indication of appropriate class for the following term. You will be notified of the Skills Challenge when bookings open each term. If a coach notices your child needs to be moved up outside of the Skills Challenge events they will speak with you directly, and you are also always welcome to ask your child’s coach for this feedback directly as well.

Tumbling students are assessed within their classes towards the end of each term and for all other recreational classes, your coach will speak directly with the athlete and parent when a different class may be more suitable.

Please do not hesitate to speak to us as soon as possible if you have any concerns about your child’s class suitability and progression, as this matter is very important to us.
